Meet Our Agents

Tom is the agency founder and owner. He was born and raised in west Texas and has always been proud to call the area home. Tom graduated from Sierra Blanca High School in 1967. He was a standout athlete which earned him a basketball scholarship at South Plains College in Levelland Texas. Tom continued his education at UTEP, receiving a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1973. Upon his graduation he attended the Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juarez School of Medicine in pursuit of a career in medicine for two years before finding his genuine passion for helping people with their insurance needs.

Tom began his insurance career with Texas Farm Bureau in 1980. Within a few years, he had opened his own successful agency with Allstate. His unrelenting effort and ability build trust earned him many awards and professional honors. After retiring from Allstate with 24 years of service, Tom started Insurance Services of the Southwest in 2010.
